It finally fits.....

Just a quick post with some pictures of a sweater coat I made for Myah LAST Christmas. It was huge on her then, but it's finally starting to fit - the arms are still a little long, but nothing a fold can't fix :) The yarn I used is Debbie Bliss' Cashmerino Aran, and let me tell you, it's divine. A bit of a gamble putting in on a sticky messy toddler, but who else am I going to spoil? My Ravelry project is here if you want to view my notes. I'm thrilled with how it turned out!

Oh and notice Myah is munching on a cookie in almost every picture, I had to bribe her to sit still LOL!

Oh. Right. I have a Blog.

It's not that I forgot about this blog, it's finding the time to actually sit down and write in it. Has it really been 2 1/2 months since my last update? Eeek!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season, it's amazing that 2010 is here already - Vancouver 2010 here we come!

I don't normally make New Year's resolutions because really, who am I kidding, they usually aren't easy to keep (and then I get disappointed), but this year I do have one: to make time each day to journal and reflect on my day. I suppose this can also include blogging - I aim to write in here more frequently and not let so much time lapse between posts!

I must go and do some household things, but I will be back later. Until then enjoy one of my favourite pictures from 2009:

Busy, busy, busy.....

Phew! I think I need to come up for some air. I've been working through my customs list the last few weeks and I almost feel like I'm getting caught up. Almost. I have some pictures of my recent finished items below. And to the people who are still waiting - I appreciate all of your patience!

I also have an announcement coming up soon, stay tuned, shhhhhh, I can't say anything yet!

Is it winter yet?

No, not really, I'm loving summer. But I am excited about a recent project and I can't wait until it's cooler so Myah can wear it. A few of my on-line woolie girlfriends and I did this project as a KAL (that's Knit Along for you non-knitters) and it was a really fun knit. I really wanted to use a particular yarn and it took me a few months to find it, but it was well worth the wait. At least I think so. What do you think? :)

No more coffee in the house.....

Yes that's right, absolutely no more coffee. My husband and I did some research the past few days and we made the decision to stop drinking caffeinated beverages. Which is why I have a headache today. Total caffeine withdrawal. Ugh.

I could bore you with my coffee talk, but my head hurts too much to type it all out! Ha!

I'm told it gets easier as the days and weeks go by, but my goodness, did I ever want my cup of coffee this morning! A nice brew of fresh mint tea had to suffice.

On the woolie front, I have another pair of Mustgo's to share, they were sent out last week and I am anxiously awaiting action shots - I can't wait to see them on their new owner!

June showers bring July flowers?

Our weather here in Prince George has certainly changed over the last two weeks. It went from crazy hot to cool and rainy and has stayed that way for the last week. Thunderstorms, hail, rain, wind, you wouldn't know it was summer anymore!

I suppose one good thing about the wet weather is a bit more time indoors and in turn, more knitting time. I think I have about 5 projects on the go right now, and of course I want to start another. There are two sweaters I want to get started for Myah, and I also want to finish a wrap top I started for her a few months ago. It's been sitting in time out due to some pooling issues, so I'm hoping it will behave now. And I have a lot of business knitting on my plate as well, so it's going to be a busy summer and fall. It's a good thing I love knitting!

Before I go, here are some recently completed projects, both were custom Mustgo's and I love how they worked up, experimenting with different colours is so much fun :)
